Neil Harris: 'Maybe Millwall need new players'

Neil Harris suggests that Millwall may need to sign players after losing their second home game in four days against Barnsley.

Millwall boss Neil Harris has revealed that he asked several of his team to consider if they want to remain at the club after their 3-2 defeat at home to Barnsley.

The Lions slumped to defeat after Lewin Nyatanga's stoppage-time goal saw the Tykes win at The New Den.

However, Harris is unhappy with the fact that Millwall have conceded seven times in their last two games and has suggested that reinforcements may be required before the end of the transfer window.

He is quoted by the club's official Twitter feed as saying: "We're gutted tonight. After Saturday we were hoping for a performance and a result but it wasn't great. You can't concede three goals from set-pieces like we did tonight. Seven goals conceded in two games isn't good enough.

"We've got to pick ourselves up for Saturday. Scunthorpe will be tough but the players owe me a performance.

"Maybe we do need new players. I've asked some of the group to go away and think if they want to play for this club. I've left the players in no uncertain terms as to my disappointment. Character wise they have to be better."

Millwall are currently 15th in the League One table.
