Middlesbrough's Kike joins Eibar

Middlesbrough have announced that Kike has returned to his native Spain with Eibar for an undisclosed fee.

The 26-year-old arrived at the Riverside Stadium from Murcia 18 months ago.

However, having scored 16 goals in 75 appearances for Boro, the striker has now headed home on a permanent deal.

Due to the fact that the necessary paperwork was not fully completed before Monday's deadline, Kike cannot play for his new club until next season.
