Middlesbrough are reportedly monitoring Wolverhampton Wanderers defender Richard Stearman ahead of a possible summer move.
The Championship club are said to have identified the 26-year-old as an option following the departure of Jozsef Varga.
According to the Northern Echo, Middlesbrough are keeping track of the player, who is a free agent next month, but Wolves are hoping to keep hold of Stearman for their campaign in the Championship next season.
Stearman has been a Wolves player since moving to Molineux from Leicester City in 2008.
