Middlesbrough close to Daniel Ayala loan

Norwich City defender Daniel Ayala appears close to moving to Middlesbrough on loan, according to reports.

The Spanish centre-back has fallen down the pecking order at Carrow Road, and he spent a loan spell with Nottingham Forest last season.

According to the Derby Telegraph, the 22-year-old will now move to the Riverside Stadium until January.

It has also been reported that Middlesbrough have the option to sign Ayala on a permanent basis at the conclusion of the loan period.
