Middlesbrough coach Aitor Karanka believes that his side will need to "improve every single day" to help strengthen their chances of staying in the Premier League.

Middlesbrough boss Aitor Karanka has admitted that his side need to improve "every single day" in order to help retain their Premier League status come the end of the season.

Newly-promoted Boro have found things tough going in the league thus far and face a crunch clash with fellow relegation rivals Hull City on Monday evening, leading coach Karanka to state that his team already know how tough each league game is going to be.

"I think for example against Stoke we could have won and against Watford and Crystal Palace we didn't deserve to lose," said Karanka, according to Sky Sports News. "But the truth is we have 12 points and one day we will not deserve to win and we will win.

"When you have been working in the Championship for two and a half years and know how tough every single game is, having the opportunity to work against the best teams in the world is amazing, but we know we have to improve every single day."

Middlesbrough find themselves in 16th spot in the league standings with 12 points collected after 13 games.
