Marseille want Taye Taiwo back

Marseille are preparing a bid that would see Taye Taiwo return to France, according to reports.

Taiwo is surplus to requirements in Italy, with AC Milan prepared to let the Nigerian international leave on loan.

Taiwo only left Marseille for Milan last summer but has found first-team opportunities difficult to come by, joining Queens Park Rangers for a loan spell in January.

Marseille face stiff competition from Benfica and Sporting Lisbon for the full-back, with the Nigerian believed to prefer a return to his former club.
