Manchester United are reportedly considering a move for AC Milan defender Philippe Mexes.
The former Premier League champions are in desperate need of defensive reinforcements this summer, with at least one new centre-back expected to arrive before the end of the window.
The club have been frustrated in their pursuit of a number of leading targets and, according to Corriere dello Sport, Mexes has now been identified as an option.
It is understood that the Frenchman could be available for as little as £3m this summer.
