Manchester United could look to turn their attentions to Atletico Madrid defender Jose Gimenez, according to a report in the press.

United boss Louis van Gaal is currently looking to bolster his defensive options, with the Daily Mail suggesting that the Red Devils are keen on the 19-year-old, who is also being watched by fierce rivals Manchester City.

The Uruguayan has turned heads following some impressive performances early on in the La Liga season at a time when United have struggled to field sufficient defenders because of a run of injuries.
