Bayern Munich are reportedly now in a stronger position to sign Tottenham Hotspur striker Harry Kane this summer following the appointment of Thomas Tuchel as their new head coach.
Tuchel was confirmed as the new Bayern boss on Friday, with the former Chelsea manager replacing Julian Nagelsmann, who was surprisingly relieved of his duties.
A recent report claimed that Tuchel is ready to raid his former club for Mateo Kovacic and Edouard Mendy during this summer's transfer window.
Meanwhile, according to German journalist Christian Falk, Bayern are now in a strong position to seriously compete for the signature of Kane in the upcoming market.
The England captain's future continues to be called into question, with Tottenham thought to be bracing themselves for summer offers.

"Tuchel will have one shot – that could be an expensive one! This could now be Harry Kane," Falk wrote in his column for Caught Offside. "When a new manager is coming in, of course, there's the likelihood of players going out in addition to coming in.
"He wants a lot of players, so they have to get money in. Ultimately, the chance to get Kane in is bigger now that Tuchel has joined the club and I think there will be something in the summer now."
Manchester United are also being heavily linked with Kane, although Spurs are expected to heavily resist allowing their star player to join a domestic rival.
The 29-year-old has again been in brilliant form for Tottenham during the 2022-23 campaign, finding the back of the net on 23 occasions in 39 appearances, in addition to registering four assists.
Kane is now Tottenham's all-time record goalscorer with 271, while he moved to the top of the scoring charts for England with his 54th goal against Italy on Thursday night.

Bayern were heavily linked with Kane during last summer's transfer window, having allowed Robert Lewandowski to make the move to Barcelona.
Eric Maxim Choupo-Moting has been in strong scoring form this season, netting 17 times in all competitions, while Jamal Musiala (15), Leroy Sane (13), Serge Gnabry (12) and Sadio Mane (11) have all managed double figures for the Bundesliga champions in 2022-23.
However, Bayern are said to want a new centre-forward for the 2023-24 campaign, with Kane seemingly being identified as their leading target in that area of the field.
The England captain has entered the final 18 months of his deal at Tottenham, and the two parties will allegedly sit down at the end of the season to discuss the striker's future.
Despite his contract situation, Kane is still likely to command a transfer fee in the region of £100m due to his standing as one of the leading centre-forwards in world football.
