Tottenham Hotspur reportedly explore the possibility of a swap deal with Villarreal involving Giovani Lo Celso and Pau Torres.

Tottenham Hotspur could reportedly try to strike a swap deal with Villarreal involving Giovani Lo Celso and Pau Torres.

Lo Celso has made an immediate impression at the Yellow Submarine since arriving on loan in January - becoming a regular with 13 appearances and impressing against Bayern Munich in the Champions League.

The Argentine's move to La Ceramica was a straight loan with no option to buy, but Unai Emery's side are thought to be keen to keep him on the books permanently.

Spurs have reportedly slapped a £30m price tag on Lo Celso, but Football Insider claims that Fabio Paratici could instead work on bringing Torres to North London as part of the deal.

The 25-year-old has enjoyed another impressive campaign at Villarreal with five goals in 39 appearances across all competitions, and he is still believed to be on the radar of Manchester United.

Should Lo Celso complete a permanent move to Villarreal this summer, he will leave Spurs having amassed eight goals and six assists in 84 games for the club since his initial loan arrival from Real Betis in 2019.
