Report: Manchester United eye Liverpool's Raheem Sterling as Nani's replacement

Report: United eye Sterling

Manchester United are reportedly interested in signing Liverpool teenager Raheem Sterling as a long-term replacement for winger Nani.

According to The People, Red Devils manager Sir Alex Ferguson is impressed with the quality of the 17-year-old and wants to add him to the group of youngsters he already has at United.

Sterling and Liverpool are still locked in talks over a new contract and the Merseyside club are unlikely to sell the England international to United.

However, it has been reported that should Sterling be interested in joining the 19-time English champions, then it will be easier for United to negotiate a deal with the Reds.

Raheem joined Liverpool from Queens Park Rangers in 2010 and has a contract until June 2015.
