Report: Sunderland want Adnan Januzaj loan

Sunderland have reportedly opened talks with Manchester United over a loan deal for Belgian winger Adnan Januzaj.

The 20-year-old was used sparingly by Louis van Gaal last season, featuring in 21 matches in all competitions for United, although the player has said that he expects to be utilised as a striker this season.

However, Shoot reports that the Black Cats have been holding talks with the Old Trafford side with the intention of bringing Januzaj in on a season-long loan.

Januzaj made his senior debut for United in 2013 under David Moyes after joining the club's youth setup from Anderlecht in 2011.
