Report: Lukaku very far away from Inter

Romelu Lukaku's proposed move from Manchester United to Inter Milan is reportedly in jeopardy as the Italian club are now focusing on signing Edin Dzeko from Roma.

Inter boss Antonio Conte has confirmed his desire to add Lukaku to his squad and the Belgian striker is keen on a move to San Siro.

The two teams have been unable to reach an agreement with regards to a fee, however, and La Gazzetta dello Sport claims that the former Everton and Chelsea ace is still a long way from swapping clubs.

Inter's chief executive Giuseppe Marotta is said to have returned early from the Nerazzurri's pre-season tour of Asia to instead concentrate on signing Dzeko, with talks for the Roma striker at an advanced stage.

The report indicates that United are still expecting an improved bid from Inter, but they are holding out for €83.5m (£74.8m) - substantially more than the Serie A outfit are prepared to offer.
