Report: Nigel De Jong ready to join Manchester United?

AC Milan's midfielder Nigel De Jong is weighing up a summer move to Manchester United, according to reports.

The 30-year-old will be out of contract at the end of the season, with no offer to extend his stay at San Siro on the table.

His availability has put a number of clubs, including reigning Serie A champions Juventus, on alert, but the Dutch midfielder is thought to favour a move to Old Trafford, reports La Gazzetta dello Sport.

De Jong, who joined AC Milan in 2012, was previously with Manchester City, where he made over 100 appearances in a three-year spell.
