Manchester United 'to launch £37.3m bid for Borussia Dortmund's Mats Hummels'

Manchester United are reportedly ready to make a firm offer for Borussia Dortmund defender Mats Hummels.

The Red Devils have been heavily linked with the German international for some time, but a bid is yet to be launched.

However, according to Bild, the Premier League side are prepared to offer £37.3m to the struggling Bundesliga side for Hummels as they try to strengthen their defence.

The 26-year-old, who has been a Dortmund player since 2009, recently calmed speculation by insisting that he is happy at the club.

Dortmund are currently second from bottom in the league table.
