Man Utd to hijack Chelsea's Begovic move?

Louis van Gaal is ready to hijack Chelsea's move for Stoke City goalkeeper Asmir Begovic, according to reports.

The 28-year-old Bosnia and Herzegovina international was rumoured to be on the verge of sealing an £8m move to Stamford Bridge.

However, Manchester United consider Begovic as the ideal replacement for David de Gea if he joins Real Madrid, reports the Daily Mail.

Begovic joined the Potters from Portsmouth in 2010 for a fee of £3.25m and has since gone on to make 160 appearances for the club.
