Manchester United are reportedly not in the race to sign Paris Saint-Germain goalkeeper Gianluigi Donnarumma.
PSG recently completed the signing of Lucas Chevalier from Lille, with the intention for him to replace Donnarumma as their first-choice goalkeeper.
Chevalier is expected to start Wednesday's UEFA Super Cup against Tottenham Hotspur after Donnarumma was left out of the squad by PSG boss Luis Enrique.
Donnarumma has since taken to Instagram to announce his PSG exit, writing that "someone has decided" that he no longer has a future at Parc des Princes.
As a result, the Italy international is now searching for a new club in the final few weeks of the summer transfer window.
Man United make Donnarumma decision
A number of Premier League clubs have been linked with a potential move, including 20-time English champions Manchester United.
However, according to journalist Ben Jacobs, Man United are not in the race for Donnarumma's signature despite the recent transfer speculation.
In another update, Jacobs reports that the Red Devils are likely to sign a young goalkeeper if they decide to recruit a new shot-stopper this summer.
Man United have identified Royal Antwerp's Senne Lammens as a potential option, although they do not currently view a new goalkeeper as a priority for their transfer business.
Donnarumma agent makes Premier League admission
While Man United may not be pursuing a deal for Donnarumma, there is still a possibility that the 26-year-old could land in the Premier League before the end of the transfer window.
The player's agent, Enzo Raiola, has admitted that a move to the Premier League could be one of the options on the table, while he also hit out at PSG for their decision to axe Donnarumma on the eve of the new season.
As per Fabrizio Romano, Raiola said: “We will consider solutions now, maybe in Premier League there will be clubs able to pay what’s needed.
“Paris Saint-Germain are asking for big money. They talk about respect, but it’s only about the money."
Man United's local rivals, Manchester City, are said to view Donnarumma as a potential replacement for Ederson, who is attracting interest from Galatasaray.
City could look to sign Donnarumma in a cut-price deal, with the player's PSG contract set to expire at the end of the 2025-26 season.
