Manchester United have set their sights on signing Kieran Trippier from Atletico Madrid in January, according to a report.
The Red Devils were interested in the England international this summer and had a €21m (£18m) bid rejected by the Spanish outfit.
Ole Gunnar Solskjaer is eager to improve his options at right-back in order to provide competition for Aaron Wan-Bissaka.
Mundo Deportivo reports that Man United will go back in for Trippier when the transfer window reopens, despite Atletico Madrid being adamant that they want to keep him.
The report adds that the 30-year-old would only leave the Spanish capital if his €40m (£34m) release clause is met.
Trippier moved to Atletico from Tottenham Hotspur in 2019, and has since made 71 appearances for the club.
