Manchester United 'make contact over Victor Osimhen'

Manchester United have reportedly upped their efforts to secure a deal for Lille forward Victor Osimhen.

After netting 17 times during his first season at the Ligue 1 outfit, the Nigerian is expected to be sold to a bigger club in the coming weeks.

There was a suggestion last week that Napoli were on the brink of signing the 21-year-old, who had allegedly requested that Lille consider no offers from other teams.

However, according to CalcioNapoli24, United have made contact with Osimhen's representatives to discuss the likelihood of a change of heart from the player.

Although United are currently well stocked for options down the middle of their attack, Odion Ighalo is only due to remain at Old Trafford until January.

Lille have allegedly made Osimhen available for a fee in the region of £45m.
