Manchester United close in on teenage duo?

Teenagers Juan Familia-Castillo and Matthew Olosunde are reportedly on Manchester United's radar.

Manchester United are reportedly eager to secure the services of two teenagers.

It is believed that should a player become available during next month's transfer window that could make a significant improvement to the senior squad at Old Trafford, manager Louis van Gaal would be interested in doing business.

However, according to the Daily Mail, Van Gaal also has every intention of ensuring that the club is competitive across all age groups.

The report adds that the Red Devils have spent the last 12 months monitoring the progress of 15-year-old Juan Familia-Castillo, who is currently on the books of Eredivisie outfit Ajax.

The midfielder has represented the Netherlands at youth international level and may make the switch when he turns 16 in January.

Also believed to be on United's radar is New York Red Bulls academy defender Matthew Olosunde.

The 17-year-old is thought to have trained with United on a frequent basis this year, with a work permit and international clearance said to be the only potential sticking point in a deal.
