Federico Macheda "would go back" to Lazio

Manchester United striker Federico Macheda has revealed that he would be interested in a return to Lazio.

The 21-year-old Italian, who is currently on loan at Stuttgart, started his career with the Serie A club before a move to Old Trafford in 2007.

"Lazio? I went away very young and I have not kept relations with the current management," Macheda is quoted as saying by Sky Sports News.

"I would go back, if there was a possibility in the future."

Macheda is on loan at Stuttgart until the end of the season.
