Paul Ince: 'Manchester United should sign Luka Modric, Andres Iniesta'

Paul Ince believes that Sir Alex Ferguson should be looking to add some "creativity" to his midfield.

Paul Ince believes that his former club Manchester United should attempt to sign either Luka Modric or Andres Iniesta.

United are currently short in the midfield department, with injuries to Tom Cleverley and Anderson, while Darren Fletcher is taking an "extended break" from football on medical advice.

Ince, who spent six years at Old Trafford up until 1995, feels that Sir Alex Ferguson should be looking to add some "creativity" to his midfield.

"I feel they need that creativity in midfield, losing Paul Scholes was a big loss obviously," Ince told BBC Five Live.

"You're not going to get players like Roy Keane or Bryan Robson, those players aren't around anymore.

"The game has changed since then and you don't get those type of characters, so [Ferguson] has got to look at another way of controlling the midfield and I think that can come from creativity in someone like Luka Modric or Andres Iniesta, they are the players I would be looking at."

Ince has been out of football since leaving his role as manager of Notts County in April.
