Christian Eriksen admits that he is likely to remain with Ajax next season.

Christian Eriksen has revealed that he intends to stay with Ajax for at least another season.

The Danish international has been heavily linked with a move away from the Amsterdam ArenA, with Manchester United, Manchester City and AC Milan all credited with an interest.

However, the 20-year-old believes that remaining with Ajax for the time being would be the best thing for his development.

"I think the best thing for me will be to play for Ajax next season," Eriksen told Goal.com. "I need to play and develop rather than rush in to a big step and make a mistake.

"I would like to play in one of the big leagues - the Premier League, La Liga or Serie A - but I'm only 20 and I have time. I've seen players move too soon.

"I want to be a key player for Ajax next season and then we will see. I don't think it matters how I play [at Euro 2012]."

Eriksen made 17 assists from 33 league matches last season.
