Diogo Dalot 'holding out for new Man United contract'

Manchester United right-back Diogo Dalot is reportedly hopeful of receiving a new contract offer.

After featuring in 30 games across all competitions last season, Dalot has gone from strength to strength at Old Trafford, with his performances keeping Aaron Wan-Bissaka on the substitutes' bench.

The 23-year-old has enjoyed a promising start to the season where he has been included in all eight of United's starting lineups, while he recently scored his first international goals for Portugal with a brace in a 4-0 victory over the Czech Republic.

With Dalot now a regular feature in United's side, according to the Manchester Evening News, he is hoping to be offered a new contract by the club.

The defender's current deal is set to expire next summer, but the Red Devils have an option to trigger a one-year extension.

A number of clubs will be monitoring Dalot's contract situation, with the likes of Barcelona, Juventus, Atletico Madrid and AC Milan all believed to be showing an interest.
