Two Premier League clubs have reportedly offered Ousmane Dembele a 'big salary' to leave Barcelona on a free transfer next year.
The France international's current deal at Camp Nou is due to expire in June 2022, and a number of teams have been credited with an interest, including Manchester United, Liverpool and Chelsea.
According to Italian journalist Fabrizio Romano, Dembele has been offered a substantial wage packet by two English teams, and Barcelona now face the risk of losing the attacker on a free transfer.
Romano claims that the World Cup winner had planned on staying at Barcelona, but he is not prepared to drop his salary demands, which do not fit into the Catalan outfit's plans amid their financial issues.
Dembele has allegedly already been told that he will not be offered the pay packet that he wants, and the situation is now 'very complicated'.
The 24-year-old has only made eight appearances at club level during the 2021-22 campaign due to injury, while he has also recently tested positive for coronavirus.
In total, the Frenchman has played 126 times for Barcelona since his arrival from Borussia Dortmund in August 2017, contributing 30 goals and 23 assists in the process.
