Manchester United's technical director Darren Fletcher was in attendance at The Hawthorns on Monday to watch transfer target Ismaila Sarr score from inside his own half.

Manchester United's technical director Darren Fletcher reportedly watched Watford winger Ismaila Sarr score a goal of the season contender on Monday.

Although he has two years left on his current Watford contract, Sarr is being linked with a departure from Vicarage Road this summer.

A recent report indicated that United are considering a transfer for the 24-year-old after giving up their pursuit of Bologna's Marko Arnautovic.

With the Red Devils said to be weighing up a move, Sarr did his utmost to convince Erik ten Hag's side with a potential goal of the season in Watford's 1-1 draw against West Bromwich Albion.

According to the Daily Mail, Fletcher was in attendance at The Hawthorns to watch the Senegal international catch David Button off his line with an effort from inside his own half.

Despite missing a second half penalty, Sarr's strike would have caught the attention of United's technical director, who was assessing the player ahead of a potential move.

Sarr has scored 25 goals and contributed 19 assists in 94 appearances for the Hornets.
