Manchester United youngster Brandon Williams will reportedly go out on a season-long loan after only making five starts for Ole Gunnar Solskjaer's side last campaign.

Manchester United youngster Brandon Williams has reportedly been granted permission to leave Old Trafford this summer on a season-long loan.

The 20-year-old was denied the chance to seek game time on loan in January, but only made five starts for Ole Gunnar Solskjaer's side last season.

Williams seemed to have broken through into the first team in the 2019-20 season when he made 37 appearances across all competitions for the club, but did not get the chance to capitalise on his debut season as a first-teamer.

According to Manchester Evening News, Williams will have offers from Championship and Premier League sides, with Southampton and Newcastle United among the clubs who have enquired about the full-back.

After a season on loan at AC Milan, Diogo Dalot is to return to Old Trafford for pre season, and the Red Devils have been linked with Atletico Madrid right-back Kieran Trippier, meaning that Williams would have vast competition for a place in Man United's defence.

Williams made his Man United senior debut in 2019 and has gone on to make 50 appearances for the club.
