Man Utd injury update vs. Burnley - Mount, Rashford return dates

Manchester United will be aiming to make it successive wins in the Premier League for the first time since the middle of February when they welcome Burnley to Old Trafford on Saturday afternoon.

Erik ten Hag's side will enter the match off the back of a 4-2 victory over Sheffield United on Wednesday evening, with the Red Devils twice coming from behind to pick up a much-needed three points.

The 20-time English champions returned to sixth position in the table courtesy of their triumph and Newcastle United's loss at Crystal Palace, but they are still 13 points off fourth-placed Aston Villa.

Here, Sports Mole rounds up Man United's latest injury and suspension news ahead of the clash with Burnley, who are 19th in the table, three points from the safety of 17th spot.


Raphael Varane

Varane was forced off at the interval of the recent clash with Chelsea due to another injury problem, and it has been revealed that a muscular issue will keep him out until the latter stages of the season.


Jonny Evans

Status: Out Type of injury: Muscle Possible return date: Unknown

Evans has struggled with a number of muscular issues in recent weeks, and the experienced centre-back remains on the sidelines for the game against Burnley.


Victor Lindelof

Status: Out Type of injury: Hamstring Possible return date: May 6 (vs. Crystal Palace)

Lindelof will again be absent due to the hamstring issue which he picked up in the recent Premier League contest with Brentford, but he could be back at the start of May.


Lisandro Martinez

Status: Out Type of injury: Calf Possible return date: May 6 (vs. Crystal Palace)

Martinez picked up a calf issue during a training session earlier this month, but the Argentina international has a chance of returning to action against Palace on May 6.


Tyrell Malacia

Status: Out Type of injury: Knee Possible return date: Unknown

Malacia is back in individual training, as he bids to recover from a knee injury which has required two separate operations, but the Dutchman is set to miss the rest of the season.


Anthony Martial

Status: Out Type of injury: Groin Possible return date: Unknown

Martial underwent a groin operation in January; he is back in individual training but might have played his last game for the club, with the forward's contract set to expire at the end of June.


Luke Shaw

Status: Out Type of injury: Muscle Possible return date: Unknown

Shaw is currently on the sidelines with another muscular problem, but the left-back is believed to be on course to return to action before the season ends.


Willy Kambwala

Status: Out Type of injury: Unknown Possible return date: Unknown

Kambwala has missed Man United's last two matches with an unspecified issue, and he will again be absent for the 20-time English champions on Saturday afternoon.


Mason Mount

Status: Minor doubt Type of injury: Unknown Possible return date: April 27 (vs. Burnley)

Mount has been absent for Man United's last two games against Coventry City and Sheffield United, but the playmaker is set to return to the squad on Saturday afternoon.


Marcus Rashford

Rashford did not feature against Sheffield United due to a problem which he picked up against Coventry, and the attacker will again be sidelined for this match.
