Robin van Persie compares interim boss Ryan Giggs to Sir Alex Ferguson

Manchester United striker Robin Van Persie compares interim boss Ryan Giggs with the legendary Sir Alex Ferguson after their 3-1 over Hull on Tuesday.

Manchester United striker Robin van Persie has likened interim boss Ryan Giggs to Sir Alex Ferguson.

The Dutchman, who scored in United's 3-1 victory over Hull City on Tuesday, has compared Giggs's approach with that of the legendary Scot.

"I witnessed two team meetings as I came in a bit late," the 30-year-old, who has been injured for seven weeks, told MUTV.

"The one from the last game against Sunderland, and Tuesday's game, were incredible. They were Sir Alex-esque. He's been brilliant."

The Red Devils travel to Southampton on Sunday and could leapfrog sixth-placed Tottenham Hotspur with a win.
