Manchester United 'keen to secure Tahith Chong's future'

Manchester United are reportedly determined to tie Tahith Chong down to a new long-term contract.

United signed Chong from Feyenoord in 2016, with the Red Devils beating the likes of Barcelona and Juventus to his signature.

The 18-year-old was involved in United's preparations for the 2018-19 campaign and was a substitute in the Champions League clash with Juventus on Tuesday night.

Chong has scored four times in seven appearances in Premier League 2 for United's Under-23 team this season, meanwhile, during an impressive few months.

According to Metro, Chong currently collects in the region of £2,000 a week at United, but the 20-time English champions want to raise that figure to between £15,000 and £20,000 to reflect his importance.

United will return to Premier League action at home to Everton on Sunday afternoon.
