Manchester City manager Pep Guardiola will reportedly drop Sergio Aguero in favour of Gabriel Jesus for Sunday's derby against Manchester United.

Manchester City striker Sergio Aguero could reportedly be dropped for Sunday's derby against Manchester United in favour of Gabriel Jesus.

Aguero has started City's last four games across all competitions, but has only scored one goal in that time and was again quiet during last weekend's 2-1 win over West Ham United at the Etihad Stadium.

Jesus came on at half time of that match and helped to change the game with the assist for the equalising goal, and manager Pep Guardiola is now reportedly ready to start the Brazilian ahead of Aguero for City's biggest match of the season so far.

The Manchester Evening News claims that Guardiola has noticed a dip in Aguero's form since suffering a broken rib in September, although the Argentine has still scored 11 goals in 15 starts this season.

Jesus has 10 goals for the campaign across all competitions, but he has scored just twice in his last 11 outings and has been used mainly as an impact sub by Guardiola in recent weeks.

City will go into the derby at Old Trafford with an eight-point lead over United at the top of the table and looking for a record-breaking 14th consecutive Premier League victory.
