Manchester United have reportedly been 'secretly and discreetly' maintaining contact with Paris Saint-Germain head coach Mauricio Pochettino.
The Red Devils are believed to have identified Pochettino as their leading managerial target for the summer, with interim boss Ralf Rangnick set to step into a consultancy role at Old Trafford.
According to Le Parisien, Man United have been 'maintaining contact' with the Argentine since Ole Gunnar Solskjaer's dismissal, and there is 'a lot of support' for the former Tottenham Hotspur manager behind the scenes at the Manchester club.
The 49-year-old has previously managed Southampton and Tottenham in the Premier League, leading the latter to the final of the Champions League in 2019.
Pochettino is bidding to secure Ligue 1 and Champions League success in Paris this season, and he still has 18 months left to run on his contract with Les Parisiens.
However, the South American is said to be desperate to return to English football this summer, with Man United allegedly preparing to choose between the PSG head coach and Ajax's Erik ten Hag.
