Manchester United full-back Matteo Darmian has expressed his belief that Romelu Lukaku will prove to be a "very important" player for the club.
Lukaku moved to Old Trafford from Everton in a £75m deal which could rise as high as a world-record £90m, and he has already scored twice for the club including once in a pre-season Manchester derby.
The Belgian was one of the Premier League's leading goalscorers last term too, but Darmian believes that he will bring more than just goals to the team.
"Of course we know very well Romelu, not just last season when he did very well. He scores goals and for us I think he is very important. Also he is our target," he told PA.
"He is good for us even when we are under pressure maybe to put a long ball and he can hold the ball and try to beat the pressure of the opponent."
Lukaku's competitive debut for the club could come in their European Super Cup clash with Real Madrid on August 8.
