Community Shield to be played on August 11

The Community Shield between Manchester United and Wigan Athletic will be held at Wembley on August 11.

The 2012 meeting was switched to Villa Park due to Wembley's involvement in the Olympic Games, but the clash between the Premier League champions and the FA Cup holders has been scheduled for the national stadium.

It will be the first time that David Moyes takes charge of United in a competitive match, while Wigan will also have a new manager at the helm.

United have been given 35,000 tickets for the clash, but Wigan just 15,000.
