Giggs to use Olympic experience

Manchester United midfielder Ryan Giggs has claimed that he will use this summer's Olympic experience in his later career.

The 38-year-old, who will captain Team GB at the 2012 Games, has also reiterated the importance of other sports as he prepares for a possible career in coaching.

"I want to gather as much knowledge as I can, and prepare myself as best I can if I do want to go into management or coaching," he told the official FA website.

"This is a great platform, again it's different being involved in tournament football to league football, I ask as many questions as I can at United and I've been the same here with Great Britain. I've always been a keen watcher of other sports too and I think, as a coach, you have to look at other sports that are leading the way in different areas.

"Our club has always done that and it's something I'm very keen to do. I watch all sports and I'm keen to gather as much information to help me in my career."

Team GB open up their Group A campaign against Senegal on Friday.
