Team News: No Wayne Rooney, Robin van Persie for Manchester United against Sunderland

Both Wayne Rooney and Robin van Persie are out for Manchester United in tonight's League Cup semi-final second leg against Sunderland.

The Red Devils go into the game 2-1 down after the first leg and are unable to call on their two star strikers, who are both out injured.

Manager David Moyes leaves Patrice Evra, Antonio Valencia and Ashley Young on the bench as Alexander Buttner, Shinji Kagawa and Javier Hernandez start.

For visiting Sunderland, Gus Poyet brings in Jack Colback and Steven Fletcher for Sebastian Larsson and Jozy Altidore.
