Manchester United's Luke Shaw fit, Ashley Young ruled out for four to six weeks

Manchester United boss Louis van Gaal confirms that Luke Shaw is fit to face Southampton, while Ashley Young has been ruled out for four to six weeks.

Manchester United manager Louis van Gaal has confirmed that left-back Luke Shaw is fit to play in Sunday's Premier League clash against his former club Southampton.

The England international picked up an ankle knock during the Red Devils' 2-0 victory over Yeovil Town in the FA Cup third round last weekend, but has recovered to feature at Old Trafford on Sunday.

While Shaw is fit to play, Ashley Young has been ruled out for between four and six weeks with a hamstring injury that he suffered during United's 1-1 draw with Stoke City on New Year's Day.

Van Gaal has also confirmed that Daley Blind is back in training and Marcos Rojo is due to join him on Saturday.
