Man United vs. Wolves: Will Red Devils duo Noussair Mazraoui, Victor Lindelof be available after personal issues?

Mazraoui, Lindelof update provided by Amorim ahead of Wolves contest

Manchester United head coach Ruben Amorim has confirmed that Noussair Mazraoui and Victor Lindelof will both be available for Sunday's Premier League contest with Wolverhampton Wanderers at Old Trafford.

Mazraoui was substituted at the interval of Thursday's Europa League quarter-final second leg against Lyon, and initially, it had been claimed that the Morocco international had suffered a fitness issue.

There were suggestions that Lindelof would be his replacement, but the Sweden international was nowhere to be seen on the Man United bench in the second half of the match.

Amorim revealed after the blockbuster European clash with Lyon that the pair both left Old Trafford at half time due to personal issues.

However, the Portuguese revealed during his press conference to preview Sunday's game against Wolves that the duo would both be available for the contest with Vitor Pereira's side.

Mazraoui, Lindelof will both be available against Wolves

"He [Lindelof] is available, he has personal issues like Nous [Mazraoui], so we had to let him go. But everything is okay now and I know football is important but there are things that are more important. They will be ready to face Wolves in the next game," Amorim told reporters.

"Both [his and Lindelof's issue came] during the game, and sometimes you can't control these things and everything happened this season, but everything is okay now."

Luke Shaw was instead called upon to replace Mazraoui at the interval, and the Englishman came through the second period and also extra-time unscathed in a major boost for the Red Devils.

Man United scored three times in the latter stages of Thursday's quarter-final second leg to emerge 5-4 winners on the night, which gave them a 7-2 aggregate victory.

Who will be missing for Man United against Wolves?

Man United did not suffer any fresh fitness problems against Lyon, but Lisandro Martinez, Amad Diallo, Matthijs de Ligt and Joshua Zirkzee will again be unavailable for selection, while Ayden Heaven and Jonny Evans are major doubts.

Chido Obi was not in the squad on Thursday, with the teenager ineligible for the competition, but Amorim has revealed that the striker is in line for some more minutes in the Premier League.

"Yes, I think so," he responded when asked about potential involvement for the ex-Arsenal youngster.

Zirkzee's injury has left Man United even lighter in the final third of the field, and the 20-time English champions incredibly finished the clash with Lyon with Kobbie Mainoo and Harry Maguire as their two most advanced players, but the pair both registered to give the Red Devils a famous win.
