Yoro, Hojlund, Shaw return dates - Man United injury news ahead of Brighton clash

Man United injury news vs. Brighton - Yoro, Shaw, Hojlund latest

Manchester United will be bidding to make it successive wins at the start of the new Premier League campaign when they travel to Brighton & Hove Albion on Saturday afternoon.

The Red Devils opened their 2024-25 season with a 1-0 success over Fulham, and the winning goal came from new signing Joshua Zirkzee, who converted a cross from Alejandro Garnacho.

Man United will now be looking to move onto six points in the table when they head to the Amex this weekend.

Here, Sports Mole rounds up Man United's injury and suspension news ahead of their contest with Brighton, who are currently at the top of the division courtesy of their 3-0 success over Everton last time out.


Leny Yoro

Status: Out Type of injury: Foot Possible return date: November 2 (vs. Chelsea)

New signing Yoro will be on the sidelines until at least the start of November due to the fractured metatarsal that he suffered during the club's pre-season friendly with Arsenal last month.


Rasmus Hojlund

Status: Out Type of injury: Hamstring Possible return date: September 14 (vs. Southampton)

Hojlund picked up a hamstring injury during a pre-season fixture with Arsenal, and the Denmark international will be missing until at least the middle of September.


Tyrell Malacia

Status: Out Type of injury: Knee Possible return date: Unknown

Malacia missed the entirety of last season due to a serious knee injury, and the Dutchman is still not ready to return, but it is believed that he will be available for selection before the end of the year.


Luke Shaw

Status: Out Type of injury: Calf Possible return date: September 14 (vs. Southampton)

Shaw is again on the sidelines for Man United, this time due to a calf problem, and the club's first-choice left-back will not be available for selection until after the September international break.


Victor Lindelof

Status: Out Type of injury: Toe Possible return date: Unknown

Lindelof is yet to feature this season due to a toe problem, and the Sweden international will again be unavailable for selection against Brighton on Saturday afternoon.
