Man United injury, suspension news vs. Bournemouth: Will Victor Lindelof, Mason Mount be available?

Lindelof, Mount updates: Man United injury, suspension news vs. Bournemouth

Manchester United will be aiming to make it back-to-back wins in the Premier League when they welcome Bournemouth to Old Trafford on Sunday afternoon.

The Red Devils recorded a 2-1 victory over Manchester City in the league last weekend, but a disappointing campaign has left them down in 13th spot in the Premier League table, six points behind fourth-placed Nottingham Forest.

Ruben Amorim's side will enter this match off the back of a defeat, meanwhile, losing 4-3 to Tottenham Hotspur in the quarter-finals of the EFL Cup on Thursday night.

Here, Sports Mole rounds up Man United's injury and suspension news ahead of their contest with Bournemouth, who are currently up in sixth position in England's top flight.

Victor Lindelof

Status: Major doubt Type of injury: Unspecified Possible return date: December 22 (vs. Bournemouth)

Lindelof was forced off in the first half of the clash with Tottenham due to an injury problem, and the Sweden international will now be assessed by medical staff, but he is highly unlikely to be available this weekend.

Luke Shaw

Status: Out Type of injury: Hamstring Possible return date: Unknown

Shaw has only just worked his way back from a calf issue, but the England international has now picked up a hamstring problem and is set to be sidelined for several weeks; the defender has opened up on his devastation at his ongoing injury issues, but Amorim has promised to continue backing him.

Mason Mount

Status: Out Type of injury: Unspecified Possible return date: Unknown

Mount was absent against Spurs on Thursday due to the problem which forced him off the field against Man City, and the Englishman is now facing "several weeks" out of action, as confirmed by head coach Ruben Amorim after the defeat to Tottenham.
