Man United's squad for Europa League final is confirmed with Leny Yoro, Diogo Dalot, Joshua Zirkzee decisions made

Major boost for Man United: Red Devils confirm squad for Europa League final

Manchester United head coach Ruben Amorim has named Leny Yoro, Diogo Dalot and Joshua Zirkzee in his travelling squad for Wednesday's Europa League final against Tottenham Hotspur.

Yoro and Dalot had both been huge doubts for the contest in Bilbao, Spain due to recent issues, but the defensive pair trained on Tuesday morning and have been included in the travelling squad for the showpiece event.

There is also a position for Zirkzee, with the Netherlands international making a quicker-than-expected recovery from the hamstring issue that he sustained in the Premier League clash with Newcastle United last month.

At the time, Zirkzee was ruled out for the campaign, but the forward has proved his fitness and could now have a part to play, as two of the poorest sides in the Premier League this season prepare to lock horns in the final.

Chido Obi is a notable absentee due to his first-team involvement in recent months, but the young forward is not eligible for the Europa League.

Yoro and Dalot could both be starters in Amorim's back five, but there is no place in the squad for Matthijs de Ligt, with the Netherlands international unable to overcome a knee injury in time.

De Ligt and Lisandro Martinez are the only players to miss out through injury, meaning that Amorim has a strong squad to choose from, including Luke Shaw, who has managed to overcome his injury problems to feature in recent weeks.

Mason Mount's return to fitness and indeed return to form has also been a major boost for the Portuguese.

Mee, Amass, Fredricson, Collyer all included in travelling squad

Amorim is taking four goalkeepers to Bilbao, meaning that there is a spot for Dermot Mee, while the absences of De Ligt and Martinez mean that Tyler Fredricson and Harry Amass are given the nod.

Toby Collyer has also overcome a recent injury problem to make the squad, while the same can also be said for Ayden Heaven, who featured off the bench against Chelsea in the Premier League last time out.

Head coach Amorim will address the media on Tuesday evening, when he is expected to be quizzed on the fitness of Dalot, Yoro and Zirkzee, although the latter is expected to be named on the bench for the first whistle.
