Man City transfer news: Ederson future in doubt as Galatasaray submit '€3m' bid for experienced goalkeeper

Will they accept? Man City receive '€3m' Ederson bid

Manchester City have reportedly received a €3m (£2.6m) bid for Ederson from Turkish champions Galatasaray

The Brazil international faces an uncertain future at the Etihad Stadium having entered the final 12 months of his contract.

Man City's first-choice goalkeeper has been heavily linked with a potential move to the Saudi Pro League this summer.

Al-Nassr and Al-Ittihad are willing to 'aggressively pursue' a deal to recruit the experienced shot-stopper.

However, the two Saudi Arabian clubs are now facing competition from Galatasaray, who are looking to sign a replacement for Fernando Muslera.

Galatasaray submit Ederson transfer offer

According to L'Equipe, Galatasaray have stepped up their interest in Ederson with a formal transfer bid.

The report claims that the Turkish giants have tabled an €3m (£2.6m) offer, as they look to prise Ederson away from the Etihad Stadium.

Man City are yet to respond to the proposal but it is difficult to see a scenario where they accept such a low offer.

Galatasaray will surely have to increase their proposal if they are to add the 32-year-old to Okan Buruk's squad ahead of the 2025-26 campaign.

Could Ederson realistically leave Man City this summer?

Ederson has been a key member of the Man City squad ever since he arrived from Benfica in the summer of 2018.

The shot-stopper has made 372 appearances for the Citizens, helping the club win multiple honours, including six Champions League trophies, four EFL Cups, two FA Cups and a Champions League.

Ederson is still regarded as Pep Guardiola's number one, but there has been a suggestion that he may be open to a fresh challenge.

With Man City carrying out a rebuild, they could view the current transfer window as the right moment to make a change to their goalkeeping department.

However, Man City will surely want more than the €3m (£2.6m) offered by Galatasaray, even if Ederson is out of contract at the end of the 2025-26 season.

In regards to potential replacements, the Citizens have been linked with Porto's Diogo Costa and Paris Saint-Germain's Gianluigi Donnarumma.
