Micah Richards wants Manchester City stay

Manchester City defender Micah Richards speaks of his desire to end his playing career with the club.

Micah Richards has revealed that he would like to spend at least the next decade with Manchester City.

The 25-year-old rose through the ranks at the Etihad Stadium, but reports in recent months have suggested that he could be due a transfer either in January or next summer.

However, having returned to full fitness, the defender has expressed his desire to remain with the club.

"I'm not leaving City it's my club and I love it here. Ten more years - that's my aim," he told the Manchester Evening News.

"I am back fit now and I believe when I am playing fit I am as good as anyone in the division playing that role.

"It's about keeping fit and getting some games in. I felt I played well in the three games."

Richards made his debut for City as a 17-year-old.
