Report: Man City agree personal terms with Koulibaly

Manchester City are reportedly a step closer to signing Kalidou Koulibaly after agreeing personal terms with the Napoli centre-back.

The Citizens have already brought in Nathan Ake from Bournemouth this summer and are now looking to further strengthen their backline.

Koulibaly is widely considered to be Pep Guardiola's top defensive target and, according to France Football, the Catalan coach is close to landing his man.

The report indicates that City have reached an agreement with the Senegal international, but they must now finalise terms with Napoli, who have yet to receive a concrete bid.

Napoli president Aurelio De Laurentiis has played hardball with Premier League clubs in the past, refusing to sell the player to Manchester United and Chelsea despite big offers being tabled.

Koulibaly is keen to move on this summer, but it is claimed that he has no intention of going on strike to force through an exit from the Stadio San Paolo.
