Report: Manchester City join Sami Khedira race

A report claims that Manchester City want to sign Real Madrid midfielder Sami Khedira.

Manchester City have reportedly joined the race for Real Madrid midfielder Sami Khedira, who looks increasingly likely to leave the Bernabeu in January.

The 27-year-old, who has been linked with Arsenal, Chelsea and Manchester United, will be a free agent at the end of this season and as it stands, will be free to discuss terms with interested clubs in January.

According to the Daily Mail, City have now set their sights on the German international, who is still regarded as one of the best of his kind in world football despite injury problems over the last 12 months.

It is believed that Khedira wants to move to the Premier League, but a number of European clubs are also monitoring proceedings.
