Queens Park Rangers to move for Nigel De Jong?

Queens Park Rangers boss Mark Hughes has reportedly targeted a move for Manchester City midfielder Nigel De Jong.

The 27-year-old Dutchman was brought to the Premier League by Hughes in 2009 but his contract is up next season, and it is understood that he will look for a new challenge.

City are expected to strengthen their midfield in the summer, leaving De Jong with a slim chance of regular football next season, according to The Mirror.

QPR are expected to engage heavily in the transfer market this summer.
