Manchester City 'still £50m short for Tottenham Hotspur striker Harry Kane'

Manchester City 'still £50m short for Harry Kane'

Tottenham Hotspur have told Manchester City to increase their offer for Harry Kane by £50m, according to a report.

The Premier League champions have been in pursuit of the England captain throughout the summer, and made an opening bid of £100m.

Pep Guardiola has already spent the same figure on Jack Grealish, but he will seemingly have to pay even more if he wishes to bring Kane to Manchester.

The Mirror claim that Man City are yet to improve on their initial offer, but could be willing to pay £120m.

However, the report states that Daniel Levy will only consider offers of around £150m, and will not accept any deals that include Man City players as makeweights.

After not being included in Tottenham's squad for their opening day win over the champions, Kane was named on the bench for this afternoon's Premier League fixture against Wolverhampton Wanderers.
