Manchester City are keeping tabs on Valencia defender Jordi Alba.

Manager Roberto Mancini has been told that he will have money to spend in January, according to The Mirror.

Scouts from the Premier League leaders have watched the 22-year-old this season.

Alba, who recently won his first senior cap for Spain, moved to Valencia after he was released by Barcelona due to his supposed lack of height.
