Aleksandar Kolarov is expected be the subject of a Serie A bidding war this January, with Inter Milan and Juventus ramping up their interest in the Serbian defender.
Kolarov, who joined Manchester City from Lazio for £19m in 2010, last week revealed his desire to head back to Serie A at some stage in his career.
The 28-year-old has battled with Gael Clichy for the first-choice left-back spot for the past few seasons and could be tempted by the prospect of guaranteed first-team football in Italy.
However, Zenit St Petersburg are also monitoring the set-piece specialist and are expected to make an offer of their own in the coming weeks, according to talkSPORT.
Kolarov opened the scoring in last night's 3-1 Capital One Cup win against Leicester City, courtesy of a 30-yard free kick.
