Pep Guardiola unsure about further additions

Manchester City manager Pep Guardiola reveals that his side are all but done in the transfer window this summer.

Manchester City manager Pep Guardiola has revealed that his side are all but done in the transfer window this summer.

The Premier League champions have added former Leicester City midfielder Riyad Mahrez to their ranks for a club-record £60m, with the team's only signing of the summer in contention to play in Sunday's Community Shield clash.

Guardiola told Sky Sports News, however, that City are unlikely to bring in another fresh face unless it is a "special player".

"We will see, if we decided to bring another one it's because it is a special player," the Spaniard said. "It can be a special player for the future not to have one more player for the number.

"All the time I've been here, even the first season, I have been satisfied with the squad we have and last season again and this season as well.

"Monday we will all be together, to start thinking about what we need to do to maintain the level of last season."

City begin the defence of their Premier League crown against Arsenal next Sunday.
